Welcome to the Association of former pupils and staff of the Wells House School, Malvern Wells, Worcestershire, England.
This site has been created to raise awareneass of the existence of the Association and its main objective – to re-establish and maintain friendship and social contact between former pupils and staff of the school which closed in 1991 and which was later converted into apartments.
The former Wells House School closed at the end of 1991 but former pupils and staff still hold many fond memories of their time at the school in the formative years just prior to their teens.
The Association of Wells House School was established by popular demand following a successful reunion lunch organised on Sunday, 22nd September 2019 at Colwall Park Hotel at which nearly 100 old boys, girls and former staff, some with partners, attending.
This was believed to be the 3rd reunion lunch, the previous two being in 1988 and again in about 1998, also held at Colwall Park Hotel.

At the lunch there was strong demand expressed for future reunion events on a more regular basis and for this purpose the ad-hoc organising committee Chaired by former Governor David Hallmark ( 1956-1959) morphed into the first committee of the Association whilst drawing up a formal constitution, with the objective of providing a better base for organising future reunion events and as a platform for maintaining or re-establishing old friendships in future years.
A constitution for a formal un-incorporated association was signed off in early 2020 with a view to having a new Association committee, web-site and facebook page in place to raise awareness of the Association, and to recruit many more members well in advance of the next reunion event, provisionally planned in September 2021.
The first committee of the Association met in early 2020 and Rod Hawnt (1961-64) was elected Chairman of the Committee. The first task of this committee was to invite Lord Timothy Boswell of Aynho to be the first President of the Association. New members were also invited onto the committee, one for each decade from 1945 to 1991.
